Business Development Consultant, Europe
Description
Climate Finance Solutions is seeking a contract business development consultant based in Europe to expand client and partner relationships in the climate sector. The role is remote and centered on generating new business with startups, corporates, investors, and strategic partners that need support around grant funding opportunities. This is a sales-focused consulting position for someone with an established climate network who can open doors, run targeted outreach, and help grow revenue across the region.
Responsibilities
▪ Identify and engage organizations that could benefit from grant funding support ▪ Work with the existing business development team on outreach tied to specific funding opportunities ▪ Use an established climate-sector network to generate leads and introductions ▪ Build and execute region-specific prospecting strategies to win new business ▪ Represent the company at conferences, investor gatherings, and climate-focused events ▪ Grow relationships with investors, corporate partners, funding bodies, and strategic allies ▪ Track pipeline activity, conversion performance, and client engagement metrics
Candidate Requirements
▪ 5+ years in business development, partnerships, consulting, or investment in Europe's climate or sustainability sectors ▪ Strong existing network across startups, corporates, investors, and related stakeholders ▪ Proven ability to win and manage valuable commercial relationships ▪ Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills ▪ Ability to work independently with minimal oversight ▪ Fluency in English and experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM ▪ Must be physically based in Europe
