PR Manager
Description
HeyGen is looking for a contract PR leader to raise the company's profile in AI video by securing meaningful earned coverage and strengthening executive visibility. Although Los Angeles or San Francisco is preferred, remote candidates are explicitly considered. The role sits close to marketing and leadership, turning launches, milestones, and industry developments into press opportunities. It is a full-time contractor position with a possible path to permanent employment as the function expands.
Responsibilities
▪ Build relationships with journalists, editors, and influential newsletters across AI, startup, and technology media ▪ Pitch and secure coverage in top-tier and high-impact publications ▪ Develop story angles tied to product launches, industry shifts, and cultural moments ▪ Increase visibility for founders and executives through interviews, podcasts, and speaking opportunities ▪ Lead communications support for launches, partnerships, and company milestones ▪ Track media results and identify ways to grow share of voice in the AI video category
Candidate Requirements
▪ 5-8 years of PR, communications, or media relations experience ▪ Background working with technology, startup, or AI companies ▪ Strong existing relationships with relevant journalists and editors ▪ Demonstrated success landing top-tier media coverage ▪ Excellent storytelling and written communication ability ▪ Comfortable using AI tools to research, draft, analyze, and improve PR workflows
