Description
Marriott is recruiting a remote sales manager on a one-year contract to handle group and catering leads for hotels supported by its Canada sales office. The role is focused on qualifying demand, matching customer needs to property options, and increasing revenue through upselling and timely handoff. This position combines lead management, proposal and contract support, and relationship-building with internal stakeholders and customers across the sales process.
Responsibilities
▪ Respond to incoming group and catering opportunities within assigned parameters ▪ Match customer needs to appropriate hotel options and close the strongest opportunities ▪ Prepare proposals, contracts, and sales correspondence, then hand off business accurately ▪ Build relationships with customers and internal sales channels to drive loyalty and repeat bookings
Candidate Requirements
▪ Experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or a related hospitality function ▪ 4 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma, or 2 years with a related 2-year degree ▪ Understanding of group sales and ability to close business effectively ▪ Strong customer service, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
