Media Relations Contractor
Description
Town Web is seeking a remote U. S. -based marketing contractor to run a focused media relations campaign tied to free-trial growth. The assignment is built around a defined PR push and requires end-to-end ownership of outreach, placement coordination, and campaign execution over a short project window. This contract is best suited to someone who can independently manage media outreach and translate campaign goals into coverage and lead generation results.
Responsibilities
• Lead outreach for a time-bound PR campaign aimed at boosting earned coverage and trial signups • Manage media and influencer communications from planning through launch day • Pursue a mix of earned placements and selected sponsored opportunities • Negotiate and coordinate editorial, advertorial, and social/media placements where relevant • Track outreach activity and campaign outcomes in a shared system • Handle logistics and relationship management throughout the project timeline
Candidate Requirements
• Hands-on background in PR or media relations execution • Ability to independently manage outreach and follow-up at campaign pace • Strong writing and relationship-building skills with media contacts • Comfortable working remotely and owning results with minimal oversight • Familiarity with govtech or public-sector media is valuable
